Tornado Over Water - Storm Surge?

Earlier this evening there was a Tornado over water on a lake near my home.

A video was posted that shows the tornado over the lake, filmed from shore.

As the tornado passes the water level under the dock at the shoreline looks to drop at least 4".

As the tornado moves farther along a mini tsunami hits the shoreline.

Am I correct to assume that the tornado is creating a small storm surge in its immediate vicinity, and then as it moves away releases the water which creates the waves?

Are there other videos examples of this?

I can't share the video as it's privately posted on FB.
