A friend and I finished a chaos endtimes

He was playing Ikit claw and I was Thanqual (which I didn't have access to his full faction gimmick at this time due to bugs), we widdled Archaon to 42% wardsave and I was forced into a battle with his army with 3 of my decently built armies at my capital of which I did a field battle as I wasnt about to wait for him to siege... also mostly ranged rats.

Prior to this Archy was deleting my empire so I was down to the wire with a handful of settlements, had enough money saved up to support my armies but little else.

The battle its self was a hilarious mess, with not ideal terrain for my rats but his entire army routed or dead and just Archy remaining. At this time I came to the horrible realization that ratling guns and their stormfiend variant didn't have magical attack so that made archy immune to ranged damage by them.

The only things that could damage him had to have magical attack which was just my handful of remaining lords/heroes and the lightning cannons. Cue 15 minutes of scooby do kiting as archy slowly and passively nukes my lighting cannons.

The final minute where my rats were about to break from army loses i did a hail mary dogpile with my remaining forces to hold Archy in place and used the last ounce of winds for a empowered warp lightning to finish off Archaon.

The final quest battle was a cake walk compared to that but man I had a BLAST with the fight for my capital.
