Does the Mortal Empires AI seem broken to anyone else?

I'm playing as Hard campaign as Teclis in Mortal Empires and the AI seems completely broken.

I've spent the better part of the last 100 tuns fighting Pestilens but regardless of how many times I beat them the AI keeps spawning large stacks. I'll beat one or two big armies in the field, pushing the balance of power heavily in my favour. But within a few turns it'll go back to 50/50 again and huge stacks will pop up at their settlements.

I've allied up with all the Lizardmen, but they also seem completely incapable of beating the Skaven in battle. They'll constantly engage the Skaven with full stack armies full of good units, but they lose pretty much every time. When I engage the same Skaven armies I find they're just skavenslave spam and beat them easily.

The AI also keeps displaying that irritating habit of staying just outside your movement range. It's something that always frustrated me in WH1 but didn't seem to be present after patches or in WH2.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this? I'm considering starting a new campaign or waiting till ME get's patched a little more.

TL;DR. Skaven seem to constantly spam huge armies despite constantly loosing battles. AI allies seem to auto-lose every battle despite using full stacks of good units. First time I've ever considered ending a campaign out of frustration after 100+ turns of basically getting nowhere.
