Race similar to skaven?

TL;DR: I got my ass beat by moghur bloodhoof and I don't wanna play skaven anymore, but still want a similar experience.

I'm almost entirely new to TWW3 (did the kislev prologue, and roughly 50 turns of a slaaneshi campaign to get a grasp of mechanics) and decided I want to play as the funny rat men. I pick ikit claw as my lord, turns pass, I've got a maxed out army with minor reinforcement. I fight moghur bloodhoof or whatever his name is, and I watch his chaos hounds run straight through my spear rats, completely ignoring them to eat my gunners, somehow pull through with reinforcement and the nuke you start with, and watch moghur literally solo more than half of my army (including both of my lords + warlock hero) with his DOT aura, discord helm (turning my mostly useless rats completely useless) and chaos spawn summon (which routed my rats and gave him time to regen almost to full), and now I don't want to play skaven.

This brings me to my question! Is there a faction that plays similarly to skaven, but perhaps with slightly less ~~completely worthless~~ expendable frontlines? I heard kholek sun eater and khorne are pretty fun?
