(Almost) every game where you can fight Reimu.

Are you tired of seeing Reimu's face on the title screen of every mainline Touhou game? Don't you just wanna smack that smug look off her face? Do you want avenge the death of a certain fortune-telling Jinyou who did nothing wrong? Are you a Marisa fan who thinks she could totally kick Reimu's butt? Well look no further as I aim to create the most comprehensive list on how to throw hands against that Shinto Show-off!

**PC-98**

* Touhou 3 Phantasmagoria of Dim Dream: The first game where Reimu appears as a boss and also ZUN's first danmaku dueling game. Rough on the edges and the AI is a [bit ridiculous sometimes](https://youtu.be/P4l2s0q6-Bk?t=2040) but that's to be expected from the early works. You can choose a myriad of characters but don't get too attached as practically none of them come back in the future.

* Touhou 4 Lotus Land Story: If you choose Marisa, you get to fight Reimu as a Stage 4 boss. Not much to say, but this fight does get a nice throwback reference later in Imperishable Night.

**Mainline Games**

* Touhou 8 Imperishable Night: You get to fight Reimu in Stage 4 when you pick Magic Team allowing Alice to get in on the beat down and even influence Marisa into saying some choice words that would be immortalized in the western part of the fandom. Sakuya and Remilia also join the ring and although their conversation isn't as amusing, any chance to play the Time-Stopping Knife-Throwing Maid and the self-proclaimed "Queen of the Night" is great.

* Touhou 9 Phantasmagoria of Flower View: A lot of previous characters return and a handful of new characters get introduced. Smite down the miko with the Rod of Remorse as Eiki or show her the power of the Tengu as Aya Shameimaru. Listing every possible character that could fight Reimu would take too much time and I haven't even started to cover the fighting games.

**Fighting Games**

* Touhou 7.5 Immaterial and Missing Power: Everyone's favorite loli Oni has arrived and she's here to kick EVERYONE's ass and have grand feast about it. You can play as most of the big shots from Touhou 6 and 7 giving you a bunch of brand new ways to beat up Reimu.

* Touhou 10.5 Scarlet Weather Rhapsody: The peach-munching heavenly brat and her grandma join the mosh pit with the general goal to piss everyone off. Tenshi gets bonus points for destroying Reimu's shrine as well, even if all it managed to accomplish was just piss her off. Best bun is here too btw.

* Touhou 12.3 Hisoutensoku/Unthinkable Natural Law: Sanae joins in to show everyone who the better miko is, Cirno shows everyone who the strongest is, and Meiling comes back after an absence in SWR to... fight a giant catfish? Best bird and best frog are also unlockable characters who you can use against Reimu in versus mode.

* Touhou 13.5 Hopeless Masquerade: The entire Hisoutensoku cast got dumped and replaced with all new characters. Well, all of them except for Reimu and Marisa who got shiny new sprites. Byakuren joins in to show off her paci-fist fighting style and Toyota no Miko blinds everyone with sun rays as they both fight over some girl with masks. With the game's unique popularity mechanic and being able to see a lot of familiar faces in the crowds in the background, you can ensure that you'll be able to embarrass Reimu in front of all her youkai friends.

* Touhou 14.5 Urban Legend in Limbo: Everyone from 13.5 is back with some extras sprinkled in and they've got some cool game finishing Last Words that are way to difficult to obtain in an actual match. Sumireko arrives to poke a hole in the barrier and Kasen features her first game appearance to apply some physical lectures to Reimu after realizing that verbal lectures wouldn't be enough.

* Touhou 15.5 Antinomy of Common Flowers: Now featuring a partner system and Last Words that are are actually feasible to pull off in an actual match, you can now style on Reimu with potentially infinite possibilities. Joon joins the fight with one of the funniest Last Words, which isn't even an Urban Legend, she just straight up mugs you.

**Danmaku Spinoffs**

* Touhou 12.5 Double Spoiler: Annoy the ever-loving hell out of Reimu by getting all up in her face and snapping pictures with the flash turned on. Then use your Tengu speed to run away.

* Touhou 14.3 Impossible Spell Card: Break the sacred spell card rules with Seija's collection of cheat items. Tons of ways to cheat Reimu out of a well deserved win, one of them just being that you can beat her face in with a fake miracle mallet. However, since she's breaking the rules as well by using impossible spell cards, the best way to beat her is to not even cheat at all!

* Touhou 16.5 Voilet Detector: You don't fight the real Reimu, you just fight a dream version of her. Still satisfying at the very least since she calls you a coward.

**Other**

* Danmaku Amanojaku Gold Rush: An unreleased game created for Digital Game Expo 2014. While you can't play the real thing anymore, you can play a replica that someone made. The goal of the game is to turn Reimu's danmaku into money with the power of the real Miracle Mallet. Bet she wishes she could do that.

* Shuusou Gyoku: Reimu and Marisa make surprise appearances as extra bosses. They don't have much of a story impact and are just there due to ZUN's involvement with the game.

**Honorable Mentions**

* Touhou 13 Ten Desires: You beat up the wrong Miko dummy. Aside from that joke, Mamizou disguises herself as Reimu for one of her spell cards and openly mocks her by naming the card "Pseudo-Exorcism of the Stupid Shrine Maiden." Mamizou gets a ton of bonus points just for that.

**Fan Games**

*I might need a lot of help with this part of the list as I'm still not even a year old into the fandom and I haven't played every fan game. Contributions to this part of the list will get credited*

* Touhou Luna Nights: A fan game released on Steam and one of the most unique metroid-vanias I've played in my time. Remilia created a fake version of Gensokyo with the help of Patchouli in order to have a place to kick back and go all out. Reimu enters in order to spoil the fun and it's up to Sakuya to stop her through the use (or un-use if you're Gellot) of her time stopping abilities.

* Concealed the Conclusion: Just, by mentioning that Reimu is a boss, I've already "Spoiled the Conclusion." Oops. Marisa visits Reimu's shrine and finds that that it's locked up and Reimu isn't there. Everyone tells her that Reimu is dead but Marisa is set on finding her. This ends up being a more emotional fight rather than a casual duel. Don't cry though, you won't be able to see the bullets through your tears.

* Koumajou Densetsu 2 (Contributed by u/Dio_ships_RenMari): A Touhou-themed Castlevania remake featuring Sakuya. Reimu appears as a stage 5 Boss and happens to be sporting a fancy vampire-slaying outfit.

* The Disappearing of Gensokyo (contributed by u/IzalithWasAInsideJob): A Danmaku ARPG purchasable on Steam featuring Tenshi, Reisen, and many others as playable characters. Double the Reimu as you'll be able to fight Dark Reimu and White Reimu.

* Azure Reflections (Contributed by u/RoamerB): You can only fight her in the Boss Rush, the coward won't face you in the actual game.

* Double Focus (Contributed by u/RoamerB): A metroidvania starring Aya and Momiji. You're able to fight a distorted copy of Reimu in this one.

* Gensokyo Defenders (Contributed by u/RoamerB): A tower defense game with a Touhou spin. Featuring Cirno as a playable character.

* Touhou Sky Arena (Contributed by u/RoamerB): A very unique 3D air fighter where usage of certain spell cards are linked with the timing of the song. You can only use your most powerful spell cards during the climax of the song. Lots of playable characters and a versus mode ensures a number of ways to fight Reimu or any other dream battle you may want to see.

* Genso Wanderer Reloaded (Contributed by u/RoamerB): A top-down dungeon crawler. Reimu appears as a boss and as a mook.

* Genso Wanderer: Lotus Labyrinth (Contributed by u/RoamerB): Same as Reloaded, but Reimu appears as just a mook. Not exactly a cinematic battle, but a battle nonetheless.

* Kebuto Burst Battle V (Contributed by u/RoamerB): An arena fighter with danmaku. Everyone has a stamina meter and has to take a breather when it runs out, that's the best time to strike.

* Genso Rondo Bullet Battle (Contributed by u/RoamerB): A top-down danmaku dueler where both players are on the same screen rather than split like in the Phantasmagoria games. Bunch of characters, danmaku action, and you can fight Reimu, what's not to like.

* Frantically Forbidden Fruit (Contributed by u/RoamerB): A classic danmaku shooter with a mix of mechanics from LoLK and DDC. You fight Reimu in stage 4 based on which option you choose during stage 3. Yuuka being playable is also pretty nice.

* Sanae's Super Express: The Express Trial (Contributed by u/RoamerB): Appears as a boss.

* Fushigi no Gensokyo Chronicle (Contributed by u/RoamerB): Appears as a boss.

* Miracle Party (Contributed by u/RoamerB): Mook Reimu!
