How would you explain Touhou to a friend ?

(First post yup, am a bit scared about it to be honest)

Personally, I would say that this is about cute girls, but also about dark schemes such as whatever you can think of from Forbidden Scrollery. If you're into the story, then you're gonna have to be a magician if you want to live long enough to know everything about it.
