Anyone work on an old Woods D-80 mower?

Not sure if this is the right sub, but couldn't find a old mower sub. Long story short my boss wanted to fix an old mower on a farm we recently started to manage. Bearings in the gearbox were blown. I took it apart, ground down the tack welds on the sleeve and the next step says press gear shaft out. And our 20 ton press does not budge it. Tried heat, pb blaster, the usual stuff. So basically at this point my assumption must be I'm completely missing something.
