Omega Prime - What to do?

Hey folks,

Looking for some advice, hopefully. I've been active on the trading sub, liquidating and moving my collection towards what I truly wish to collect. I've been watching the .. concern .. around the HasLab Omega Prime and the quality control around the figure. I've been very lucky with all of my figures to this point in terms of QC.

I'd like to try and obtain one (trading or buying), but I do have the Car Robots Omega Prime already -- he's not in the best shape (electronics are shaky and a little bit of battery damage from required long-term storage), but he's mine and he was the first "Optimus" I got post-Beast Era.

I know the Haslab is fixable and some have gotten lucky with no repairs. I've also seen the other side, the nightmares of those who sent both figures in accidentally, due to Hasbro's ineptitude, the inefficient communication, etc. Frankly, is it worth dealing with either the repair or replacement if you have the original figure?
