Help! TF Comics n00b

Hi, sorry for the very n00b question, but I have no idea. I recently got my paws of the IDW Phase 1 collection. I am assuming these stories were placed in the collection in publication order. Are the comics supposed be read in this order? Or, based on your experience, is there a better order to read the stories?
