The new Mercenary Field Catalog art (a win for Mongoose)

I (and others) have commented on the rather unrealistic (ludicrous futurism) look of weapons in Mongoose's version of Traveller in the past. I detected (perhaps only in my own mind) some defensiveness on Mongoose's part in the past, but I have to give credit where credit is due. The art is very good. There are a few examples of some rather strange configurations, but for the most part they look like real weapons.

I want to applaud Mongoose for listening and responding when it could have been easier to think "what do they know". As an engineer (and someone who has been involved in weapon design) I always find it hard to swallow the strange configurations of "future" guns, when they work in similar ways to the ones we have now.

All that said, good job, u/MongooseMatt. You guys deserve a pat on the back for getting this one right.
