Smoking in a rental

Hello my fellow smokers. I live in California, which we know is legal both medical and recreational. I’m moving into a rental that specifically states on the lease no smoking permitted inside or on outside premises. This a single level duplex unit with high walls where I would see any neighbors unless they’re standing on a ladder, if that matters. I’m not able to sit on my patio and enjoy a cup of coffee and a joint? That seems far reaching to me. What say y’all?
