The Frog for Whom the Bell Tolls (Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru)

Finally got around to playing and beating this game. I’d heard about it throughout the years, and finally decided to give it a shot.

It’s a super fun (and pretty short) precursor to Links Awakening, using the same game engine, that never received an official translation.

The battle system isn’t great, but the story, and adventure gameplay really pulls you through. If you loved Links Awakening, and want to check out what “made it possible” so to speak, I’d definitely recommend this.
