Affecting irl driving?

Has anyone felt that playing sims have affected their driving irl?

In particular, how do you guys think it affects how you react to unusual situations? I encountered a skid for the first time when driving irl earlier, and I wonder if I overreacted due to getting to used to skids when towing a trailer in the sims.
