First time user sanity check

I'm hoping to get a sanity check on my plan before I start purhcasing.

I'm looking at getting the Mini XL+ and 8x4TB drives, setting them up with RAIDz2 in a single vdev. Probably just going to go with SCALE for docker support. Just gonna spring for the 64GB RAM so I never have to worry about it. The OS installs on the pool or should I throw an SSD in there for that?

My absolute main use case is a big bucket for data, don't need lightning fast access for video editing or anything like that. For file access, I'll start off on being able to access the files only from the LAN, but I plan to set up a VPS/VPN later to be able to access the files from abroad. I'll probably run Plex on it, and maybe a few other dockers or apps if they look interesting just to toy with. I might even monkey around with trying to set up older Windows VMs like Win98 just for fun.

So anything I'm missing or getting wrong here?
