Edamame dip! I am thankful to have my own place to build a life in
Image description: a small table with a mocajete bowl on it. The bowl is full of a seasoned edamame dip which appears like guacamole in texture, but is light green. A few tortilla chips stick out of the dip.
First post in the spirit of this sub.
I feel immense joy despite the hardship I’m going through. I have chronic pain & fatigue, I am a caretaker for a disabled person, I am in a queer relationship. I work full time, slightly beyond my energy levels. My rent is half my paycheck (hopefully will be more 1/3 when partner gets disability. Still waiting.)
But I am SO thankful for this life I have fought for. I love to make my loved ones happy with food. I love to make MYSELF happy with food. I love to make a mess in the kitchen and try something new and maybe not like it, and there’s no one to judge me.
We just moved out of living with a family member. Much love to them housing us, but it’s nice to make our meal disasters and not 1. hear commentary on the disaster, 2. wake other household members up with late night snacking, 3. sharing a kitchen.
I look forward to sharing and seeing other contributions! Mwah! 💋
