I'm trying to find a new nurse job while TTC. Our RE says we likely will need to go straight to IVF due to issues with my tubes. What are the scheduling requirements for IVF? I'm currently in the diagnostic month.
We've been TTC since Nov 2019 and my first pregnancy in August ended up a MMC at 10 weeks that required a D&C. In Jan 2020, I started my new career as a night nurse on a step-down ICU in Florida. I was good at my job but with COVID patients and little protective gear I was super stressed. My husband later said I was a shell of myself. I ended up getting COVID when my mask broke in room and I gave it to my husband. We were super sick and I had to get put on Short Term Disability. When we finally started feeling better we got frisky and got pregnant. My boss's reaction, the surprise of the MMC, and stresses of work led me to quit my job.
I didn't expect the MMC to break me but it did. Now we are finally seeing a RE and completing the diagnostics month. I need to get back to work but I'm so worried about scheduling around IVF appointments. Husband and I are agreed that the fertility appointments come first. When going through the IVF process, how many appointments do you have? Do you have a couple weeks notice or is it a sudden come into the office? I'm worried what kind of job will allow for such flexibility. Any of input is greatly appreciated!! Thank you
