My drain is coming out!

I'm 3 weeks post surgery tomorrow and I have had one drain out and my second one has been under 30 ml the last two days. My doctor wanted me to leave it in a few more days (we were messaging today) and then, all of the sudden, the bulb wouldn't hold suction and when I went to look at it the white part of the drain is a few inches outside of the incision. There's nothing I can do, right? I have to pull it out? My doctor's office is closed and there's no after hours. I'm stressing.

update: I called back and was able to get through to an on-call person, apparently they just didn't have the system turned on yet when I first called. Waiting on a call back. I'll let you guys know the answer just for information, but I suspect they are going to have me pull it.

2nd update: They said to tape it down and send a pic, they will advise me in the morning. So going to bed with my drain part way out.

Final update: they had me pull the drain out. It came out with minimal pain, which was a relief because the last one came out feeling like the fiery tail of satan. Keeping fingers crossed that there's no seromas.
