Always vs. No. 1 or no?
Out of curiosity; what would be your call compared to our table?
We just finished a six player game to ten and argued about how one player voted for the agenda Seed of an Empire (for gives the player with the most VPs another VP and against a VP to the player with the fewest).
Just to frame the question - this is not a super serious discussion, everyone is free to play according to their wishes.
This was the agenda phase of an early turn. Not sure exactly which. Four players was at 1 VP, one at 2-3 and one at 4 VPs.
For reasons (Nekro + riders) the vote was up to the player with 2-3 VPs and the player reasoned that it was better to give the player with the most VPs 1 extra VP than to give four players 1 VP each (together with Nekro and rider). It was also early days in the game the player reasoned.
Everyone else (including the leader) thought it was strategically wrong to give a VP to the player with the most VPs. That player did win the game after being in the lead the whole game.
How would you have voted?
I guess upvote= against and downvote= for
Edit: very interesting, and to me surprising, that the answers are all over the place. Personally, with the exception of a few more or less likely scenarios, I would never ever give a point to the leader.
Thanks everyone. Love TI. It is such a deep and rewarding game.
