Does Uber stealth switch on auto-accept

I've been driving a few months now part-time. I've never had auto-accept turned on. Started tonight and accepted the first ride that immediately came up. Rate was good and I figured I must have accidentally touched the screen. About to drop off the first pax and I automatically accept the next. I check and I see auto-accept is turned on.

I rarely go into service options and I definitely didn't go in recently. I certainly wouldn't turn on auto-accept.

Has this happened to anyone else? Does Uber occasionally switch auto-accept on without your knowledge? Was it punishment for declining out too many minimum wage trips?
