Spring break PSA for Miami area drivers.

I get traffic alerts sent to my phone from the city, today I got that let me know that this spring break season is going to be different. For the next two weekends, BOTH causeways to MB will be reduced to ONE LANE EACH! This will be in effect starting this Friday at 9 pm and will continue until 3 am, where it will then resume normal conditions. It will resume again to one lane Saturday at 4 pm and remain again until 3 am, same for Sunday. This will repeat the following weekend. Police will have license plate readers to scan EVERY plate of cars on the causeways entering MB. Those of you drivers that have been driving long enough, I believe it will be the same thing they do on Memorial Day weekend.

I'm not worried about my plate being scanned, but I'm pissed off that the traffic conditions that are already a nightmare, are about to be increased 10 fold. For the following two weekends, to get to s. Beach, the Venetian will be your friend.
