Switching within the College of Engineering?

Hi, I wondered if anyone here had some experience when switching within the engineering college? I am currently in Aerospace and the more I delve into it the more it starts to bore me out. The time it takes to do fun things, the bureaucracy, and overall the content isn't what I had expected. When looking at HCDE it has a lot of the elements that I am looking for with the ability to design things while still being creative. Does anyone have any experience when switching majors within the College of Engineering?
