New bathroom - found this was how the LED lights had been finished. Snag? Or unsafe?
Location: UK Room: Bathroom
Recently had a bathroom fitted, and they supplied the electrician.
My understanding is this is located outside of Zone 0/1/2 (top of cabinet adjacent to the sinks >1m from tap) so the fact it’s an IPX2 rating is fine, but falls below the IP44 recommendation.
However, the 15cm of 240V twin and earth from the lighting circuit coming out of the wall and the terminal block wrapped in electrical tape feels a bit… cowboy?
I had expected some form of hardwired wall fixing to terminate the mains wire, not this mess.
Is that an appropriate/to code way to leave the connection like that (electrical tape around the terminal block). Is it worth snagging, or is it more serious of a concern?
