Carrying your rifle

Hi all, first question here. Not yet a gun owner but joining a club and will apply for a FAC.

Just thinking ahead and to get to my potential club I will have to walk (I can’t drive).

Is it allowed to carry your rifle in a bag that is disguised as something else? I see a guy on my train regularly who carries an obvious rifle bag and I’d rather not do that.

Could you carry a rifle in something like a music case? Not like a tommy gun in a violin case before anyone says something. :)

Just keen on carrying something that isn’t obviously containing a firearm if that’s possible.

Thanks.
