Anyone here submitted biometrics, applied for a refund and got it?

After a long bout, I have finally been told I cannot start my new job while awaiting an ILR decision. I had only sent the biometrics on the 26th May. But I did send it.

The website clearly states in this case I will not usually be refunded. But it is … a lot of money. 2.4K pounds.

I’ve emailed my sponsor pleading to see if we can make a case but I’m not optimistic. It’s also the jubilee tomorrow and I don’t even know if people are working.

All in all I’ve spent 5000 pounds inclusive of appointments, lawyer consults and the actual application itself.

Is this just money I will never see again?
