Best super ultra wide for productivity and reducing eye-strain?
My mother in law is an enthusiast like me and looking for something to replace her two 21.5” displays and has her heart set on a superultrawide equal to two 27” displays.
But she’s been having vision and headache problems lately and so I want to do my best to mitigate for that. High refresh rates and curved displays should help, but I figured that OLED might be the way to go since it would literally be pushing fewer photons at her whilst keeping contrast and picture quality high.
However, there doesn’t seem to be any superultrawide OLEDs yet, just Ultrawides - specifically the Alienware AW3423DW and their AW3423DWF which could come out soon.
To be clear, she won’t be doing any gaming on it, just web browsing, MS office, very occasional and photo and video editing, though I think she’d get a kick out of Alienware’s styling.
Do you think we should wait for a superultrawide OLED or do you think OLED doesn’t matter for eye fatigue as much as refresh rate, curvature, and using apps like Flux?
