Easiest way to point to app.domain —> IP:port inside my lan

I’ve spent hours this weekend with Cloudflare tunnels, Authelia, traefik, and more config files than I can count. Can’t get them to work so now I want to just go simple. All I want is within my lan is to be able to type appname.domain and have it go to 192.168.1.8:8989 for example. No outside access needed.

I’ve been obsessing to get the more complicated version to work without success. So, if you can please help me with the more simple internal lan solution, I will be grateful.
