Before you ask no, I don't have that much storage

I was messing with my friends server trying to fill his drives with duplicates of a literal Linux ISO & for some reason instead of copying the files it just made new files, marked them as the size of the original & kept making more. I have no idea why it is doing this and if anyone has any idea I would love to hear it. I just thought it was funny so I would post it. I had set the script to make like 999999999 or something copies so I am just letting it go till my friend notices.
