People putting carry on and personal item in overhead. Do you ever call them out?

On a very busy flight today with bins filling up quickly. Guy in the aisle across from me dumped his suitcase and personal item in the overhead (and put them in wrong so they take up more space).

Anyone ever decide to call someone out on this? I normally just leave it to the flight attendant to figure out, but felt bad for a girl trying to get a spot for her bag… I got up and helped reposition the bin hogs bags so we could squeeze hers in since the guy who out them up there didn’t feel like burning the 2 1/calories to get out of his seat. Almost made a loud proclamation on how people need to learn bin etiquette but decided I did my good deed and didn’t feel like putting this in the AITA Reddit.
