Antique Fish Bowl

Gillinder & Bennett vaseline fish bowl c1865. The bowl alone is 12" x 10" and stands about 16'" with the frame. Founded in Philadelphia by William T. Gillinder in 1861, and for a very brief window during the American Civil War era (specifically between 1863 and 1867) the company partnered with Edwin Bennett and operated under the trade name Gillinder & Bennett. Pieces explicitly attributed to this brief partnership timeframe are exceptionally rare. Over 150 years old, a true survivor and still in perfect condition.
