Allergist on Monday frustration

Their instructions say that if you have hives not to stop taking antihistimines and call the nurse for directions. So I did. Apparently I’m currently untestable (so why am I going!) and that I’d have to be off regular ones for a week and Benadryl for three days (which is interesting because that same office told my kid two days was fine) and they’d probably give me steroids on Monday so I can go a week without and hope for the best.

Will this work, potentially? I don’t do well on steroids (I get very moody and aggressive, and it gives me the shakes and insomnia, which is bad since I have a seizure disorder, not that I’m sleeping anyway). I mean, I presume it’s an annoying part of the procedure, but I’m not looking forward to the week ahead, especially since I have a few engagements next week. *sigh*

Anyway, thanks for letting me vent.
