Does the 6 month passport rule apply for Canadian visiting the US?

My (Canadian citizen) passport expires in March 2027. I have a work trip coming in mid Oct. 2026 for \~3 days. I've read it doesn't really apply for Canadians. Just wondering what other Canadian's experiences have been?
