Ashland Bows: Root Fang or Storm Fang? Or Spinesnap?

I got a new ash fang that I want to upgrade. But I'm split between which upgrade to go with. Root Fang seems like it could be nice, since if the enemy isn't ranged, it now should be perma rooted away from you? Unless maybe the root chance is low? Storm fang seems like it might be the best damage option for groups but I find myself running or swapping to my sword if I'm overwhelmed with multiple enemies. What is the community consensus on bows for Ashlands? Side note: I use bows in support of Swords/Magics. So it isn't my main weapon, but I'm at the point where I can spare the mats to get the bow I need. I mostly use needle arrows.
