Shield Generator and 10 Ballista vs Gammeltroll

Jarl Testbug here discovered a fully powered shield generator can survive three volleys of thrown trees before collapsing, unattended. Combined with ballistae having incredible knockback, the right placement means that the gammeltroll won't be able to pass the defensive barrier. Using black metal missiles, it takes \~50 give or take to kill one Gammeltroll. Expensive, but a solid defense.
