DIY VCVRack Midi Controllers

So as the title suggest I’m hoping to make my own midi controllers for VCVRack sort of based on the Midilar design of a module midi controller set up. I think I have the gist of how to wire and get the modules working, however I’m very interested in the idea of including the cable patching using Stoermelder’s T7-series module (which I know is still in development, but they have released the plug-in for use).

The only thing I’m still trying to understand is how the module is seeing the cable inputs/outputs and knew this would be the one place to reach out and ask to see if any of y’all knew. I’m planning on using an arduino as the main brain for the controllers if that helps.
