What to do with identity comps/points before July 30

Hello! I was hoping for some guidance or knowledge when it comes to the Cosmo/MGM conversion in a little over a week.

I am mgm pearl and now Cosmo gold. My recent trip to Cosmo in late June pushed me up a status level. With that obviously came better offers. My question is, should I book those comp rooms prior to July 30? Or should I just wait until everything merges? The offer states it’s good until July 2025, but I think we all know that probably goes out the window in a little over a week.

I’ve seen posts here about how those comp rooms aren’t even worth it. They are basic city rooms with big upgrade fees, but at the same point in time, a free night is a free night, and I can even put family/friends up with the companion room offer. I could definitely put it to use as I am light years from being a high roller. Just someone that frequents the property multiple times a year and charges everything to his room. It finally got me somewhere, and now I feel like it’ll all be lost.
