SVB

I’m going to sift the top 6 inches of my soil in hopes of finding and destroying with fire and SVB pupae that fell from my plants. Has anyone tried this? Tips? I’m also skipping squash next year to try and break lifecycle. I have not seen any neighbors growing any squash if that matters ( and I’m nosey). My squashes pictured.
