What Is This? Have You Ever Seen This?

Around some of my plants including some that are getting eaten by bugs I found this debris that almost looks like wood shavings….

The soil is a mix of topsoil and compost and I’ve been spraying the plants with alternating Jacks Deadbug and Insecticidal Soap but I’m seeing this debris and piles around some pants and I’m not sure what it might be.
