Why can't I just delete my account that I've never been able to use since it was automatically blocked for no reason when I opened it?

I opened a Venmo account ages ago and it was automatically suspended before I even used it. The only reason I even opened one is because my rowing organization prefers to use Venmo. I use PayPal for everything. I'm tired of contacting customer service to either unfreeze or delete my Venmo account. Do I have any other recourse?
