Wondering if my faulty rift S is worth upgrading

Alright here’s my situation, my Rift S, which I purchased about 9 months ago, is kinda falling apart at the seams. The mic went robotic, it loses displayport connection randomly regardless of wether or not its actually plugged in, and the speaker audio will just stop playing, both of these result in me having to turn my pc off, wait a few minutes, and turn it back on. Not to mention oculus essentially leaving the rift s behind in favor of the quest/quest 2. I’ve since purchased a wireless mic but I can barely make it a day of playing vr without the audio or displayport connection cutting out, so my question is, should I upgrade?

I’m not really in the market for an oculus headset because fuck facebook but the Index has been lookin real good right now, and its within my budget, I was gonna wait for the HP reverb to come out but I don’t think my pc has good enough specs for it, so I ask you guys, given the current state of my rift s, is the difference between the it and the index good enough to warrant purchasing a valve index?
