Horizon 7.4 tomcat/VMware Horizon View Web Component crashing
This is one of those times i'd love to be able to put a support ticket in as i'm ran out of all the troubleshooting ideas I can conjure up, but unfortunately as this is just my homelab i'm out of options.
For **some** reason I just can't get ws_TomcatService.exe to reliably stay running, I see nothing in the logs relating to out of memory errors but it does leave a dump so I assume this is what it causing tomcat to stop. I was running at 4GB of ram which the documentation says should be good enough for a POC/testing environment with up to 50 desktops, but running with the required 10GB doesn't make any difference. I do see Xmx change with the RAM increase though but it doens't seem to make any difference.
The logs make it look like a graceful termination rather than a crash and with some mention of log messages like this:
2018-05-03T10:58:53.944+01:00 DEBUG (1548-15A4) <javabridge> [ws_javaview] HeapWatcher trigger for 5448 at 3047MB, reset at 2437MB
I'm wondering if this could be responsible for the termination.
The only references I can find to others experiencing this is due to out of memory errors but I don't see any errors and the dump files are only ~500mb so it doesn't directly point to it.
Does anyone have any ideas or things I could try? I've completely blown away my environment and recreated it and I still have this issue, I'm probably going to try recreating as a single connection server rather than a replicated pair just to see if it changes anything as i'm at the end of my tether.
