Issue with power-profiles-daemon

So I recently set up my laptop to run power-profiles-daemon (installed from xbps-src) I am having an issue where I am having to restart the service using `sudo sv restart power-profiles-daemon` in order to get it working. This issue seems to be intermittent. Sometimes on a fresh start it works other times I have to restart the service. Im wondering how I could go about addressing? Any help is appreciated
