Issues with PC?

Hey guys.

Been playing V Rising with a friend a bit lately. Loving the game btw. We initially started playing a Private game with me as host. But then moved over to a PVE server. He then started having issues. Like the game freezing up and needing to restart his whole PC. Then the monitor turned off. Next time he tried his graphics card straight up failed. (He has/had a 3080) This was over the course of a day maybe. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? I don't know much about hardware etc. Is the game capable of straight up killing a graphics card? Thanks in advance.
