Grout's Mansion - Kent Alan Ryan question

(previously posted on world of darkness sub and sent here)

So.... I was watching some let's plays of the classic 2004 game with a restored area of Grout's mansion. I never saw this area before and it was really amazing to watch. One of the more interesting things was a dome with actual sunlight shining into the area..

Upon closer observation there is the remains of a vampire skeleton complete with dust. If you inspect the body it's the license of Kent Alan Ryan! The Toreador vampire bonded to the ghoul Patty from the Downtown area! Totally blew my mind! A small detail in the game I never really thought about for the better part of a decade!

For those familiar with this PC game and restored version of the game... Why would Kent go into this mansion? Is it just a random detail or....? Why is there sunshine in the dome? Why was this excluded from the original release?
