What's old is new again, early 90s stylus works on current PTK

I swiped a bag of old pens over my new pro and the curser moved, turns out those straight pens from the artZ/UD era work on the latest intuos. Pressure is whack stiff, maybe if I shaved the nib down it would be better. Staedtler and others make $30 pens so there's no need, but pretty funny. Eraser actually works perfectly.
