Am I the a-hole if I skip a rehearsal dinner?

So I am in one of my friends wedding on May 22nd. I was originally asked kind of as a filler person to balance out both sides because we weren't super close. I have gotten a bit closer to her now and am really excited to be there for her and want to participate in all her wedding things. However, I'm in a dancer in a tap dance company and am expected to attend all practices and performances from now until May. Normally this wouldn't be an issue at all. But for some unfortunate reason, the venue for her wedding is making her have her rehearsal dinner on Thursday, May 20th. That's the same day as the spring recital. I love my friend, but I don't want to lose my spot in the tap company. I never expected a rehearsal dinner to be on a Thursday, so I'm torn on what to do. I have friends and family in my life telling me to skip the rehearsal and others telling me to skip recital. I'm just feeling conflicted as tap dance is one of the things that brings me immense joy in my life.

Edit: Thank you guys for encouraging me to skip the rehearsal. That was my original thought until others told me to skip recital. The bride has a lot of anxiety and had to kick someone from the wedding party because of lack of participation and not being there for the bride, so I was just afraid of making her feel like I didn't care about her wedding. I of course do, and will be there for everything else she needs me to go to. I have already done dress shopping with her, bridesmaids dress shopping, a brunch, and we are planning her bachelorette. I really am a people pleaser and don't like disappointing others.
