the grey ghost

Does your Weimaraner quietly slip behind you when entering a room, quietly hide in the shadows, wait for you to leave the room and then an hour passes and you haven't heard from her and she's behind a closed door and you had no idea she was in the guest bedroom for the last hour and is complaining she wants out?

Do you have a dark house like me? I have black hardwood floors and a rather cavernous style home. My Weimaraner takes advantage of this by pulling her blankets on to her bed and quietly become one with the grey and black tones, to the extent we can't actually see her. I'm not old and blind, I'm saying she's near impossible to spot in low light or shades.

Similarly, Cosette works very well off the leash but I have to use a radio signal to find her when we are in the woods because not only is she silent, she's practically impossible to see in the brush, especially at the 50 yard or more distance. So i use it as a reminder that I'm watching her and to stay close.

So, apart from the fact I live in Dracula's Castle, is that your experience with the breed or am I alone?
