Found this tick on my stomach (last pic is clearest)

Note: I have a dog who came home from Doggie daycare today.

I don’t think it embedded in me, it came off of my stomach relatively easily when I first found it.

Have checked myself and my dog thoroughly and no more signs of ticks but still freaked a bit in case it is a lone star tick.

Worth noting:

-I noticed it about 60 seconds after I sat down on my floor with my legs crossed (if it was attached to my sock).

-I sat down on the floor to pet my dog.

-about 6 hours before I was in a grassier/wooded area but attached to an office area so relatively tame

-I golf a lot, maybe it was tracked in days ago?

-this tick was BIG and flat (which makes me doubt it fed on myself or my dog.

-also smashed the thing about 8 times before it succumbed
