Fuzzy Caterpillar

This lil dude was chilling in my folks’ driveway. We’re in Central PA— he’s about an inch and a half log with a cute lil face. He doesn’t look like any woolly bear I’ve seen. What might he be?

My folks moved him (WITH GLOVES) to a spot under a tree, so he won’t get run over.
