Children’s book series that followed girls of different nationalities from different time periods

One book was called Cecile (I think?) and her story took place in France (she became a palace servant and interacted with a prince Louis). Another was of a girl from china during the time period where foot binding was common practice. I remember really enjoying this series as a teen, but I can’t remember more than bits and pieces from each. Anyone have any idea?
