Allez E5 52 vs Trek 1.2

Hello ladies and gents, I have been looking for a new hobby to incorporate into my fitness routine and fell inside this road biking rabbit hole (hi), now I can't get out.

Have done a bit of research (a lot of research) and FB marketplace sellers swear by these 2 bikes in apparent excellent condition etc etc.

I am 5'6", extrmely handsome and looking to do some mostly training to keep my weight in check and maybe some group events on the weekends

The bikes are are a Allez E5 52 CM seller is asking $500 - and - Trek 1.2 Alpha 51 cm seller asking $250.

I already asked for a discount on the E5 trying to get the seller to meet me at the $400 mark which is what I wanted to get to get the rest of the gear to keep the budget at the $500 usd mark.

Any suggestions you fellas might have on telling me if these are good deals or not would be amazing, thank you in advance.
